Ben and Merinda Salsky

Andy and I had such a fun time last weekend to celebrate his brother Ben's wedding on Martha's Vineyard.  We flew to Boston Thursday night, and my sister Victoria picked us up.  We got to bed around 1am and woke up by 6am to drive to Woods Hole to catch the 9:30am ferry!  And we barely made it!  Phew.  Andy's mom and stepdad, Ron, picked us up when we got to the island and we went straight to our rental house to change for the rehearsal and luncheon...
on the ferry ride over... so excited about the weather!

Beautiful setting for the wedding weekend.

The men rehearsing.

Gorgeous views from the luncheon's deck.

So fun!

AMAZING lobster roll!!!

HUMUN-GO Kobe beef burger.

Andy giving a great best man toast.
On Saturday we enjoyed a lazy morning, which is not at all the pace we've gotten used to out here!  (Busy busy busy and full days and nights)  I got to go for a run after 8am and didn't sweat to death!  :)  We walked to Edgartown to grab breakfast and spent a few hours strolling around town, taking pictures and eating an ice cream cone.  It was lovely.
Cute little cafe where we got bagels.

That was also a fudge shop!

A lovely old church.

Pretty earrings!

Handsome ties!

I HAD to get some ice cream here after seeing this cute sign!

So I did!  Raspberry chip yogurt and coffee ice cream.

We met the wedding party at 3pm to take pictures before the 4 o'clock ceremony...

Here are some more pictures I took the rest of the night.  Thank you, Ben and Merinda for a lovely weekend!  We are so happy for you.

Such a cute idea!

(concentrating very hard... typewriters are hard to use!)

Loved the whimsical lighting!

Andy's stepsister, Anya, who has a fabulous, jazzy voice.  She sang one song with the band!

I had the fish.  Yum.

Wedding cake... in addition to berries&cream, bar cookies, cheesecake, and cupcakes!

  1. What did my ears hear as soon as I got to your blog? The Pride and Prejudice soundtrack! That is only one of my favorite movies, and was the beginning of my obsession with period dramas. They are practically all I read or watch.

My sister and I went to MV on our trip last week. We stayed in Vineyard Haven but took the bus all around the island.
